| Sri Lanka, Otherwise known as "The pearl of the Indian Ocean" is a beautiful country situated below the massive country, India. In the western province there are three districts. One of them is known as the "Kaluthara" district. In this district "Panadura" is a very large city. Our school is situated in this city. There are about 4000 students and about 150 teachers in our school. S.S.C is mainly a Buddhist school, but it is open for other nationalities too. Sumangalians are very famous for sports too. Through the past few years Sri Sumangala College has produced many famous athletes, cricketers etc. Cricket, Table Tennis, Badminton, Volleyball, Football are the main sports of the college. S.S.C is equipped with a lot of facilities too. We have two computer labs, a chemistry lab, a physics lab, a bio-science lab, and a good library. There are classes from grade 1 to grade 13, including English medium classes for advance level. Sri Sumangala college is 93 years old, in this year(2002). All through these years it has helped the nation by building up very pleasant, strong, Buddhist, citizens. | ||
